From the Eiffel Tower to the Arc de Triomphe, Emily in Paris showcases many iconic Parisian landmarks. However, due to Emily's bustling social life and her role as a marketing executive, she is frequently seen in restaurants, bars and exhibitions across the French capital.

Fans of the popular Netflix series will recognise Gabriel's restaurant as one of the key filming locations. The fictional eatery changes its name every season, transitioning from Les Deux Comperes to Chez Lavaux and, most recently, to L'Esprit de Gigi, in tribute to Gabriel's grandmother and first cooking mentor.

In reality, the restaurant goes by the name Terra Nera - and it specialises in Italian rather than French cuisine. With its striking red storefront, the restaurant has become a tourist hotspot in recent years.

Patrons can expect pasta and a variety of fish and meat-based main dishes. The proprietors of the restaurant also capitalised on the buzz generated by the show's first season by introducing a special Emily in Paris menu, which includes an Americano for an aperitif and an appetiser featuring burrata Pugliese [Italian cheese] and Sicilian cherry tomato.

The main dish is beef tagliata, a beef tenderloin served with rocket, parmesan shavings, and a balsamic vinegar sauce from Modena. This choice of main course harks back to an early episode where Emily criticised the preparation of her meat, only to find out that her neighbour Gabriel was the chef, reports the Mirror.

Terra Nera, situated in Paris' 5th arrondissement, is just a short distance from La Boulangerie Moderne - Emily's favourite bakery.
