When is the Champions League quarter-final draw? Man City possible opponents explained

Manchester City can book their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League should they knock FC Copenhagen out of the competition.

Pep Guardiola's side head into Wednesday's contest with a 3-1 aggregate lead from the first leg in Denmark and will be confident of adding to this advantage at the Etihad Stadium.

City will have one eye on Sunday's huge Premier League meeting with Liverpool going into this European clash and may well choose to rest key players as a result. Regardless of whether this is the case, Guardiola will expect his side to come out on top and continue their journey in the competition.

As the Sky Blues prepare for Copenhagen, below is all the information relating to the draw for the last eight.

The Champions League quarter-final draw will take place on Friday, 15 March at 11am. Draws for the semi-final and final will also be completed on the same day. The draw for the latter is done solely to determine the 'home' side for administrative reasons.

For the semi-final draw, four balls containing slips of paper marked 'Winners of quarter-final 1' to 'Winners of quarter-final 4' are picked out at random. The first and second balls drawn represent the first semi-final pairing, with the opening ball picked establishing the home team for the first leg. This process is then repeated for the second semi-final
