When Gustav Lagerbielke is due for Celtic medical as £3m transfer switch imminent

Gustav Lagerbielke to Celtic looks a done deal with the star due to fly to Glasgow after Elfsborg's game this weekend to undergo a medical.

Brendan Rodgers is closing in on the Swede to boost his defensive options following Carl Starfelt's move to Celta Vigo and the club have moved fast to bring him in. Swedish sources confirmed to Record Sport over the weekend that a deal was close and it now appears he will fly out to Glasgow once Elfsborg face Hammarby on Sunday - which is expected to be his final appearance.

In a social media update, Sport Expressen reporter Anel Advic said on Saturday evening the deal is 'done' and that he will travel to Glasgow 'next week' for a medical before making the switch. All going to plan, Lagerbielke will be announced as Brendan Rodgers' latest signing early in the week and in time to play himself into contention for their Viaplay Cup tie with Kilmarnock next weekend.
