Manchester United will play their first league game of 2024 this weekend when they host Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

United's struggles continued in their last match of 2023 when they were beaten 2-1 by Nottingham Forest. The defeat left Erik ten Hag's side eighth in the Premier League and nine points off the top four leaving just the 3-2 comeback over Aston Villa their only win in their last five league games.

It's been a busy start to the year for United with Jadon Sancho leaving on loan to former club Borussia Dortmund while Donny van de Beek has been sent on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt, with further outgoings likely.

United will look to get things right on the pitch, but they are up against a Spurs side who find themselves in good form.
Not including their recent 4-2 defeat to Brighton, Spurs have been on the comeback trail after a rocky patch and have won four in five games with Ange Postecoglou's side climbing to fifth in the process.

United will host Spurs on Sunday, January 14 with kick-off set for 4:30pm.
