Manchester United offered green light in swap deal involving Erik ten Hag 'target'

Inter Milan would be willing to offer Manchester United a swap deal involving Denzel Dumfries to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka during the January transfer window. That's according to reports from The Sun amid lingering speculation on the two right-backs and their respective futures.

United have been linked with Dumfries, previously, and the Netherlands international is thought to be admired by Erik ten Hag. The 27-year-old only has 18 months left to run on his contract with the Italian giants and, at this stage, there is no sign of a breakthrough, while United are in a similar position with Wan-Bissaka.

According to The Sun article, Inter want to bring ex-Crystal Palace man Wan-Bissaka to the San Siro and would be open to using Dumfries as a makeweight in any proposed deal. Dumfries is thought to want a significant hike on his wage packet, but Inter are reportedly unwilling to budge past £35,000-a-week.

That contract stand-off has, seemingly, opened the door to a transfer. United have been in the market for another right-back since former Ajax manager Ten Hag was appointed last summer - with Diogo Dalot currently first choice in that position with Wan-Bissaka, 26, there for competition.

Elsewhere, reports from The Evening Standard reckon United are ready to cash-in on Jadon Sancho and Antony as they welcome offers from Saudi Arabia for the two players. Sancho, 23, has returned to Borussia Dortmund on loan during the January transfer window and is expected to leave permanently next summer.
