What The Undertaker said to Roman Reigns after 'disgusting' WWE WrestleMania match

The Undertaker was left apologising to Roman Reigns after their “disgusting” match at WWE WrestleMania 33.

Three years after Brock Lesnar ended his undefeated streak at WrestleMania XXX, The Undertaker shared the ring with Roman Reigns.

Roman won the match, only becoming the second person to beat The Undertaker at WWE’s biggest show of the year.

Unfortunately, the match really wasn’t good, with it being quite clear that The Undertaker was well past his best.

The pair crossed paths at WrestleMania 34 the following year, where ‘Taker apologised to him, as he explained in his ‘Last Ride’ documentary, which was released in 2020.

The multi-time WWE Champion had the following to say to ‘The Big Dog’ apologising after encounter the year prior.

“I felt so bad about last year. I just want you to know, that bothers me… I didn’t have it, you know that.”

The pair then embraced before going their separate ways, but it showed the class of ‘Taker to apologise to his colleague.

In an interview with ESPN, also in 2020, ‘Taker also said that didn’t want to watch the match back because he was so “disgusted”:

I was so disgusted with it that I didn’t want to watch it back,”

Many fans thought that The Undertaker would retire after the match, especially as he left his gear in the ring as the show went off the air.

However, one year later, he was involved at WrestleMania again, beating John Cena at the show in an impromptu match.

It wouldn’t be until 2020 when The Undertaker retired, ending his career at Survivor Series in November after his match with AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36.

He was then honoured with an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in Texas before WrestleMania 38 this year, officially wrapping up his career.
