What the Celtic and Rangers pundits said as Ally McCoist admits club he loves were 'no match' for rivals

A dominant Celtic display had the pundits wowed as Rangers were told they've been given a short, sharp wake-up call.

What was expected to be a tight top of the table clash proved to be anything but as Ange Postecoglou 's side blew their opponents away in a dazzling first half.

Two goals from Reo Hatate sent Celtic on their way before Liel Abada capitalised on Borna Barisic's sloppy defending to make it three.

There was a reaction of sorts from the visitors after Gio van Bronckhorst made three half-time changes but it wasn't enough to stop their city rivals going top of the Premiership.

Here's what the Sky Sports pundits made of the match.

"We spoke about the wide players and I thought Jota, and in particular Abada on the other side, were terrific first half.

"The full-backs were excellent, by the way, I know Hatate got Man of the Match but I thought Juranovic was absolutely outstanding, I really did.

"Greg Taylor played well on the other side, Jota was different class. It was the complete reverse with Rangers.

"Two full-backs? Really poor. Two wide boys? Really poor. That's where I thought Celtic won the game.

"But, by the way, they won it in some style. First half in particular, excellent, Rangers were not a match for them and I said earlier if anything that is a real wake-up call for Rangers.

"For the first 10-15 minutes Celtic were bang at it. The energy levels... we spoke in the second half about how Rangers came into the game, and of course they came into the game, but one of the reasons was there was no way Celtic could match the energy levels they produced in that 45 minutes.
