Ally McCoist revels in Rangers win over Dortmund as he makes unscheduled appearance to troll Alan Brazil over Celtic shock

Gloating Ally McCoist made an unscheduled radio appearance to revel in Rangers' win in Dortmund, as well as offering a playful dig at Celtic.

Gio van Bronckhorst's side pulled off a stunning upset in the Westfalenstadion, taking a 4-2 win back to Ibrox for the second leg of their Europa League play-off.

McCoist hasn't appeared on the breakfast show this week as he's on holiday, but couldn't resist phoning in to wind up his mate Alan Brazil, who was hosting alongside Ray Parlour.

The giggling Ibrox legend began: "Al, get me on quicker than that!"

Jokingly seeking to downplay the result Brazil noted that there had been "a bit of sickness" in the German ranks but his fellow presenter wasn't having that.

McCoist shot back: "There was after, I'll tell you that much! Because what a performance that was.

"In all seriousness, we had a wee prediction before the game and I said, 'I'd bite your hand off for a draw'.

"I know they were missing the big fella (Erling Haaland) up front, and the tie's not over, but what a performance and result that is.

"Tell you what, I've been doing a bit of homework because I knew you'd want to know one or two stats, Al.

"It's the first time since 1964 that a British team have scored more than three goals against them.

"See every time the ball hit the back of that Dortmund net? I could just think about Brazil. That's what I was thinking about!

"Barisic should have scored earlier on in the game, Rangers played... as poor as they were against Celtic weeks ago in the league, they went the complete other end of the spectrum.

"They were fantastic."

Brazil then took out a pennant from the 1967 European Cup final, where Celtic beat Inter to lift the European Cup.

But McCoist wasn't letting him off
