What Leicester need to 'get right' against Roma revealed after Aston Villa draw

Leicester City full-back James Justin has backed Brendan Rodgers' side to "get right for the big one" against Roma after a drab goalless draw with Aston Villa this weekend.

The 24-year-old played the full 90 minutes at right-back against Steven Gerrard's side after only being an unused substitute against Everton in midweek. That may suggest that the former England youth international may drop out for the semi-final clash against Jose Mourinho's side, but the defender was keen to take the clean sheet as a positive before what is anticipated to be a tight affair.

In Serie A, Roma were defeated 3-1 by league-leaders Inter Milan on Saturday evening in far from ideal preparations for Thursday's trip to the East Midlands. The capital club are far from assured European football next season either, despite sitting 5th in the table.

Justin was in an upbeat mood after the draw against Villa and already casting an eye ahead to the semi-final. “We’re happy with a clean sheet going into Thursday,” the City defender told LCFC TV.

“There wasn’t much for either goalkeeper to do. We’ll look back on it and see what we can do to maybe add that extra spark, but we’re glad to get the clean sheet and we’ll take it into Roma.

“We were happy, obviously, that we didn’t ship any late goals, but also, about the energy, we’ve played a lot of games recently and we’re missing that spark in the final third.

“Neither side didn’t really have too many chances and it was a bit of a draught in either box, so a draw’s a fair result in the end I think.

“We felt like we didn’t do enough to nick the result and it’s something we’ve got to look at over the next few days and get right for the big one.”
