Wolves team news vs Burnley: Four changes as Raul Jimenez and Fabio Silva start
Bruno Lage has made four changes to Wolverhampton Wanderers’ line-up for today’s must-win Premier League clash at Burnley.
Results went for Wolves again yesterday with Manchester United falling to defeat at Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur failing to beat Brentford. Seventh-placed West Ham are away to Chelsea this afternoon.
Wolves haven’t won at Turf Moor since 2010, but a victory in Lancashire today could be decisive in the race for Europe. Three points would put Wolves two points behind sixth-placed United, with a game-in-hand.
Lage has been forced to recall Romain Saiss to replace the injured Max Kilman in defence, while Nelson Semedo, Leander Dendoncker and Raul Jimenez - who has now completed a two-game suspension - also return to the line-up. Jimenez starts alongside Fabio Silva for the first time in the Premier League.
Jimenez scored a cracker on his last visit to Turf Moor in July 2020 before Chris Wood sealed a point for the Clarets with a stoppage time penalty. Burnley have won two of the three meetings between the teams since then, including a 2-1 victory over Wolves here last season.
