What is the latest with Rayhaan Tulloch’s situation at West Brom amid Sheffield Wednesday link?

With the January transfer window now into its final week, time is starting to run for clubs to get business done, and players to secure moves for the remainder of the campaign.

One player whose future remains uncertain as we head into the final few days of the window, is West Brom attacker Rayhaan Tulloch.

Last week, The Sun journalist Alan Nixon revealed that League One duo Sheffield Wednesday and Fleetwood Town are both interested in loan deals for the 21-year-old.

Subsequent reports from Birmingham Live suggested that the Baggies could be open to sanctioning a loan deal for the attacker, before the window closes.

However, Wednesday manager Darren Moore – who previously had Tulloch on loan at Doncaster – was seemingly reluctant to discuss those links on Friday, due to the fact that the attacker is not a Sheffield Wednesday player, even if he is aware of the 21-year-old.

Even so, with Tulloch again absent from the Baggies’ matchday squad for their 3-0 win at home to Peterborough on Saturday, it does seem as though West Brom may have been open to a loan.

But with new signing Daryl Dike picking up an injury in that game that looks set to keep him out for several weeks, you wonder whether manager Valerien Ismael may now be tempted to keep Tulloch at The Hawthorns to avoid being left short in attack, at least until they are able to bring in another option upfront.

Indeed, Tulloch would send another reminder of what he is capable of Monday, when he netted for West Brom’s Under 23s for the second game in a row in a 3-2 defeat to Birmingham.
