What is Leicester City’s biggest transfer priority this summer?

As part of Leicester City's summer refresh manager Brendan Rodgers wants five or six new faces. Within that, there are three priorities: a centre-back, a central midfielder, and a right-sided winger.

But which of those can City simply not afford to get wrong? Which of those will make the biggest impact as the club look to fight to get back into the top six next season?

The upcoming transfer window is arguably one of the most important in the recent history of the club and Brendan Rodgers has openly talked about the need for a squad ‘refresh’ over the next couple of months.

One area that the City boss has talked about is central midfield, hinting that he is looking for at least two new recruits in that area this summer. It’s a position that should be a priority going into the window.

A lot obviously depends on the future of Youri Tielemans, if the Belgian moves on this summer, as widely expected, then it makes the need for a replacement vital going into the new campaign. While he has not been hitting the heights of last season, City still missed Tielemans’ creativity when he missed almost a month of the campaign with a calf injury at the end of the year.

That creativity will have to be replaced, bringing in someone with a similar vision would be ideal. Christian Eriksen has been on City’s list of potential targets before and would provide that invention while they have also been credited with an interest in Lyon’s Houssem Aouar.
