What channel is the Scottish Masters Cup on? Live stream, TV and kick off details for legends tournament

After returning last year in a wave of nostalgia, the Scottish Masters Cup is back.

It might be a scaled down version of the regional heats then national finals that graced our screens in the 90s and early to mid-noughties, but fans still enjoy seeing their old favourites kitted out again to take each other on in the indoor, six-a-side arena. It disappeared for a few years, but returned last year as a one-off event and proved popular enough to make a return in 2023.

Legends of both Celtic and Rangers did battle last year, now they are joined by their capital counterparts. Hearts are taking part as well as city rivals Hibs in a round robin Scottish tournament in Glasgow. With Scotland in action against Cyprus on Friday night, the Scottish Masters Cup offers a Saturday night alternative to England taking on Ukraine and the Rugby World Cup - at least until Gregor Townsend's team get underway.

Record Sport has all the info you need on how to watch.

The tournament is being held on Saturday 9 September and Glasgow's Braehead Arena. The first match kicks off at 7pm.

Each of the teams will play each other once and the top two sides in the round robin will play each other in the final.

The games last 16 minutes, with two eight minute halves. All players must be 35 or over and there are unlimited substitutions allowed.

The tournament is being shown live on the BBC Scotland channel.
