West Ham 'interested' in wonderkid Jurgen Klopp wants

West Ham remain interested in signing highly-rated Fulham attacker Fabio Carvalho, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The 19-year-old has been one of the standout players in the Championship this season, which has caught the eye of some of the Premier League’s top clubs.

It has been a tremendous campaign for the teenager, whose seven goals and five assists have put Fulham on the verge of making an instant return to the Premier League.

Such is his outstanding form, West Ham, Southampton, Tottenham, and Liverpool were all keen on signing him in January.

Eventually, the Reds were in pole position and looked on the verge of winning the race on deadline day, only for the deal to collapse late on after Jurgen Klopp’s side were unable to complete the paperwork.

Carvalho had undergone a medical ahead of a proposed move to Anfield, but he up ended staying at Fulham, where he has continued to perform impressively, notably scoring against Manchester City in the FA Cup just days after his failed transfer to Liverpool.

Klopp confirmed last month that the Reds would be “crazy” not to remain interested in the youngster’s signature, but Jones believes that West Ham have always been keen and could become a possible option.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “They’re still interested in Fabio Carvalho; I’m wondering if that could become possible. It’s extremely unlikely, but they’ve always liked him.”

Unless something drastic changes in the coming weeks, Carvalho, who’s a free agent, is likely to be on the move this summer.
