Gary Neville's celebration after Owen's winner for Man Utd vs Man City in 2009

Manchester United travel to the Etihad Stadium to take on bitter rivals Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

The Manchester derby has produced many crackers in the past.

One of the best games the two teams have ever played came in 2009.

The game was locked at 3-3 going into the sixth minute of stoppage-time. It looked a certainty that the two sides would share the spoils.

But United won it in the dying moments through Michael Owen.

Ryan Giggs produced a defence splitting pass and Owen showed coolness personified to prod the ball into the corner of the net.

Gary Neville went absolutely wild on the touchline.

The veteran defender, who was 34 years old at the time, was an unused substitute during the match.

And he went crazy when Owen netted the dramatic winner.

Neville ran onto the pitch before turning around, running down the touchline and celebrating in front of the travelling Manchester City fans.

In an attempt to save himself from trouble, Neville the English right-back then pretended he was warming up.

The footage is still gold 13 years on and you can view it below…
