West Ham 'definitely' interested in £61.2m attacking duo at the London Stadium

West Ham are “definitely” targeting moves for Arnaut Danjuma and Jesse Lingard, according to talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook.

David Moyes has already made two signings in the shape of Rennes centre-back Nayef Aguerd and goalkeeper Alphonse Areola and he is now eyeing up moves for the attacking duo.

West Ham might have secured another season of European football following their seventh-place finish, but the Hammers were the second-lowest scorers in the top-eight and need attacking reinforcements.

Therefore, Moyes is hoping to improve his frontline and provide extra competition for the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Said Benrahma and Michail Antonio.

According to the Guardian, West Ham have made an approach to Villarreal for the services of £45m-rated Danjuma, who’s being linked with a return to English football following his exploits for the Spanish outfit.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports believe that Lingard, who enjoyed an exceptional loan spell at the London Stadium 18 months ago, remains on Moyes’ radar, with West Ham making an offer to his representatives.

Lingard, valued at £16.2m, is reportedly demanding wages of £150,000 per-week, but he’ll be available to sign for nothing once his Manchester United contract expires on Thursday.

Crook confirmed the club’s interest in the pair but doesn’t expect both players to end up signing for the Hammers.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “They’re definitely both targets. I’m not convinced they’ll sign them both.

“I think Lingard will need to lower his wage demands; I don’t see West Ham paying him £150,000 per-week, I’m slightly surprised there’s not a bigger clamour for him bearing in mind he’s a free agent, but I think it’s due to those wage demands.”
