West Ham: David Moyes facing £18m mistake at London Stadium

Hull attacker Keane Lewis-Potter could struggle to start for West Ham, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

Lewis-Potter has been one of the top players in the Championship this season and the Hammers are trying to sign him ahead of the summer transfer window.

With West Ham gearing up for another campaign in Europe, and possibly the Champions League if they go all the way in the Europa League, Moyes will be hoping to bolster his squad.

And the Scot is already putting plans into place ahead of the 2022-2023 season with the 21-year-old already on his radar.

According to The Athletic, West Ham are set to open talks with Hull over a potential move to the London Stadium this summer, with Hull valuing Lewis-Potter at £18m, which is a similar price to what they paid the Tigers for Jarrod Bowen.

Lewis-Potter first caught the eye last season when he scored 13 goals and laid on six assists to help Hull make an instant return to the Championship.

And the wide man, who can also play centrally, has continued his impressive form at second-tier level by directly contributing to 15 goals in 44 games.

Despite his form, Lewis-Potter has never played in the Premier League, and Jones has questioned whether the youngster is West Ham quality.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I’m not sure he’d get into the team at this stage, and if West Ham are looking to raise their level and might be playing in the Champions League next season, I’m not sure he’s good enough for where they want to go.”
