West Ham could now 'listen to offers' for £22.5m star at London Stadium

West Ham could “listen to offers” for Said Benrahma this summer, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The £22.5m-rated attacker was one of the Hammers’ most-used players in all competitions last season, but his inconsistent form could lead to a summer exit.

Having scored just three goals in his first campaign at the London Stadium following his move from Brentford in 2020, Benrahma looked a completely different player at the beginning of last season.

Benrahma, who’s played 81 times for the Irons, provided three assists and two goals in his first five Premier League appearances of the campaign, and was enjoying his best spell as a West Ham player.

But he would chip in with just one more goal contribution before Christmas, although a return to form towards the end of the season saw him finish with eight goals and six assists in the top-flight, taking his overall tally to 17 involvements in 48 matches.

However, according to the Evening Standard, the Algeria international could still be moved on when the transfer window reopens for business.

The report states that there’s a ‘possibility’ Benrahma leaves the club, although his future could hinge on whether the Hammers can recoup a ‘significant proportion’ of the £30m they paid Brentford.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “They went through a lot of effort to lure Benrahma away from Brentford when they signed him. He’s been a bit hit and miss, and maybe David Moyes prefers other players, especially when they’re playing the top sides.

“He’s maybe a bit of a luxury player, he wants to attack and maybe not work as hard as some of the players in the starting XI, so big concerns that West Ham could listen to offers for him this summer.”

Timber deal close! De Jong deal agreed with Barca?!?
