West Brom talking points as Alex Mowatt makes honest Steve Bruce admission after Bristol draw
West Bromwich Albion drew 2-2 with Bristol City on Saturday afternoon at Ashton Gate, after falling behind twice.
Albion went behind in the 29th minute after substitute Nahki Wells broke the deadlock before Karlan Grant levelled. The Robins then responded five minutes from time through Andreas Weimann.
The former Aston Villa man contributed with an assist and a goal for Nigel Pearson's side, before Adam Reach came on and levelled at the death.
Steve Bruce and Co will now have the international break to prepare for the busy schedule in April. Albion will have seven games in the space of a month, before concluding the end of the season at home to Barnsley.
BirminghamLive takes a look at the key talking points from Saturday's game.
Crucial points have been dropped with the inconsistency shown in games. The Baggies have delivered a mix of results recently but are on the right track, now unbeaten in their last four games.
In their last five games, they have collected eight points out of a possible 15. The draw at Bristol meant that Albion remain 12th on 54 points and only seven off the promotion play-off spots.
The late come back shows the good spirit amongst the team. The same occurred at The Hawthorns after falling 2-0 down to promotion chasing Huddersfield, as Grant and Andy Carroll produced the late come back to share the spoils.
The international break next week comes at a good time for the players to recharge and prepare for the demanding schedule during April. Those seven games in the space of a month will certainly be key to determining the outcome of a potential promotion play-off spot.
With still 24 points to play for, "there is still hope" as Bruce said post-match. Despite matches still to come against Birmingham
