West Brom may 'have to admit they got it wrong' after big Baggies call

West Bromwich Albion’s key decision-makers could be forced to admit they were wrong to appoint Steve Bruce as the Baggies’ manager, according to journalist Dean Jones.

Bruce was unveiled as the Championship side’s boss last month, but the change in the dugout has not gone to plan at the Hawthorns.

Upon taking the job, Bruce revealed he was ‘coming in with one aim and that is to get Albion to the Premier League’.

However, he is almost certainly going to miss out on reaching that goal as West Brom are currently languishing in 13th, having lost as many Championship fixtures as they have won this season.

The Baggies are eight points adrift of the play-off places and sixth-placed Luton Town even have a game in hand.

Bruce, who parted company with Premier League side Newcastle United by mutual consent in October, has failed to get West Brom’s season back on track.

In fact, the 61-year-old is still searching for his maiden victory after overseeing four defeats and a draw in his first five matches at the helm.

The transfer insider told GIVEMESPORT: “He’s just a real character really, as well as having his knowledge of past battles to call upon.

“But, ultimately, it hasn’t worked and now they are in big trouble. They do face the prospect of admitting that they got it wrong.”
