'We arrived at a silent house where no one was answering the door. No one was answering because they were all dead'

The headteacher who was tragically shot by her husband had reached out to her sister for help just moments before she was found dead. Emma Pattison, 45, her seven year old daughter Lettie, and her husband George, 39, were all discovered lifeless at their home in Epsom College on February 5.

Emma's sister Deborah Kirk has now revealed the heartbreaking final conversation she had with Emma. In The Sunday Times Magazine, she shared that there had been a disagreement between Emma and George, and Emma had asked her to come over. But when Deborah arrived, it was too late - George had already taken the lives of his wife, their daughter, and himself, the Mirror reports.

She said that there had been an "altercation between her [Emma] and her husband, George", and that her sister had called her and asked her to come over. But by the time Deborah arrived, George had already shot her sister, their daughter and then himself, with a sporting shotgun. She wrote: "My husband and I arrived at a silent house where no one was answering the door. No one was answering the door because they were all dead."

Deborah shared that she felt George was abusive and she had been a victim of coercive control. She revealed that she saw Emma a week before the tragic incident, and believed Emma had decided to leave him. She said she "looked back at this with amazement that she endured it for so long".

A gun found at the scene was legally owned by Mr Pattison. It was reported that police were informed about the couple's marital issues, and Mrs Pattison's job as a deputy
