Mancunians made their support for the Lionesses known as they cheered the England team through to the Women's World Cup final.

In joyous footage, the Manchester Evening News captured the moment a city centre coffee shop and bar erupted in applause and chants for England's third goal which secured their place in the upcoming final against Spain. The crowd gathered at the Feel Good Club broke out into song as they chanted 'football's coming home' after the 3-1 victory over co-host nation, Australia.

The Lionesses have made it into the Women's World Cup final for the first time - and become the first England football team to reach that stage since the England men's 1966 triumph. Tyldesley's Ella Toone scored a sensational opener before it was cancelled out by Australia star Sam Kerr's solo strike.

But Lauren Hemp restored the lead after tenacious playing, before Alessia Russo took the team to three goals in the closing minutes of the match.
