Warzone 2: What is the Release Date?

The developers of Call of Duty caused a stir after they announced that Warzone 2 is in the making, sparking high levels of curiosity right across the gaming community.

The infamous battle royale series was introduced in 2020 to take on the likes of Fortnite and Apex Legends – and certainly has done that as far as its player base is concerned.

Infinity Ward made the announcement in February and promised a “new Warzone experience” and a “massive evolution of BR (battle royale), with an all-new playspace and new sandbox mode.”

While these details may be fairly vague with no gameplay snippets, fans of the series can only speculate at this time what the developers may be referring to. Whether we see a similar format to how Warzone currently is but with some timeline changes, or a completely new concept entirely.

This has gathered a lot of attention across gaming, and they will be wanting to know when Warzone 2 will be coming out.

At the time of writing, Infinity Ward have not provided an official release date for Warzone 2.

While it is uncertain whether it will be launched alongside their upcoming sequel to Modern Warfare, Raven Software put out Warzone five months after Modern Warfare hit the shelves in 2019.

If Infinity Ward did the same thing, then we might not see Warzone 2 until early 2023.
