Warrington Wolves determined to silence critics as Daryl Powell tells players to focus
Daryl Powell has told his players to ignore the outside noise and focus on producing a good performance that can help end their shocking run of form. Warrington Wolves face Hull KR on Friday having suffered four straight defeats which have put a dampener on Powell's tenure at the club so far.
However, Powell cut a relaxed figure in his pre-match press conference as he discussed the team's current issues, insisting all of the current problems are manageable and that performances will fix up the issues they are currently experiencing.
"I didn't expect to lose four games straight and that's hurt us but it is what it is," Powell said. "It's early in the season and we've to battle our way out of this situation. But we're still strong, there's a lot of opinions from all sorts of different people that don't really matter, so it's about keeping heads down, working hard, give ourselves a chance to feel positive about our performances and to do that individually we've got to do better and collectively we've got to be better and then that digs us out of the situation we're in.
