Warrington ace George Williams fit to face former club Wigan

Warrington coach Daryl Powell has confirmed half-back George Williams will return from injury to face his former club Wigan on Friday night.

The England international has missed Warrington’s last couple of games through injury.

Powell said: “He has trained today and yesterday so he should be okay. He was close last week but it he pulled out late.

“He is a high quality player and he is coming up against his old team so he is looking forward to it.

“George likes being out there and playing the game and expressing himself on the field. Its his own team and there’s always an extra spring in his step.”
