Warning after cannabis 'disguised as children's sweets' uncovered from 'suspicious' car
A warning has been issued after cannabis 'disguised as children's sweets and energy drinks' was uncovered from a 'suspicious car' in Hulme on Sunday night (March 3).
Officers from Greater Manchester Police's Transport Unit said the occupants of the car were 'acting suspiciously'. The vehicle was stopped and a number of bags of cannabis were seized.
The driver, and the passenger, were both arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis after the discovery. The driver was further arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.

Greater Manchester Police shared a picture of the bags of cannabis uncovered, which were concealed in brightly coloured bags and plastic bottles.
A post shared by GMP Longsight and Moss Side said: "Officers from GMP transport unit have come across a vehicle tonight with the occupants acting suspiciously in the Hulme area.
"Both driver and passenger arrested on suspicion of Possession with intent to Supply Class B drugs (Cannabis) after being found with numerous bags of cannabis disguised as children's sweets and energy drinks. Driver further arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of cannabis Sec 5a RTA."
