Wales team announcement LIVE: Steve Tandy makes changes for Scotland
Good morning and welcome to our live coverage of Wales’ team announcement ahead of Saturday’s Six Nations showdown with Scotland at Principality Stadium.
It’s a massive weekend for Wales, who are desperately seeking a response after back-to-back defeats to start the championship. Another loss this weekend would mean a 14th straight Six Nations defeat and heap yet more pressure on head coach Steve Tandy.
It’s been a bruising start to life in charge for Tandy.
Wales have lost five of their six matches under the new regime, with heavy defeats to Argentina, New Zealand, South Africa, England and France, all sides ranked inside the world’s top six. The 54-12 defeat in France last weekend was particularly sobering, even if there were flashes of improvement.
Wales are expected to make sweeping changes to the team which faces Scotland on Saturday, WalesOnline understands. With a change at fly-half, a debut for Gabriel Hamer-Webb and alterations in the pack all expected. You can read more about that here.
