Vu takes lead at Saudi International as Maguire hits bogey-free 69

A second successive 69 will see Leona Maguire head into the final round of the Aramco Saudi Ladies International on seven-under par, 11 shots adrift of leader Lilia Vu.

Maguire, who is in a tie for 26th, didn't drop a shot and picked up birdies at 10, 14 and 16 at Royal Greens Golf and Country Club.

American Vu will take a one-shot lead going into the final round after a brilliant round of 65.

The world number 39 dropped a shot at the second, but that was the only blemish in a sublime round of golf.

Aside from the early bogey, it was four birdies in the first five holes, while two more followed before she finished with an eagle at the 18th.

New Zealand’s Lydia Ko is a shot back on 17-under while India’s Aditi Ashok, who led for the first two rounds, shared third place alongside Denmark’s Emily Pederson on 16-under par.
