Vince McMahon retires: UFC president Dana White has 'nothing but respect' for WWE icon

UFC president Dana White has insisted that he respects retired WWE boss Vince McMahon.

McMahon has retired from his role as Chairman, CEO and Head of Creative at the wrestling federation on the back of the recent hush money scandal.

The 76-year-old stepped down following accusations of sexual misconduct and allegations that he paid millions of dollars in hush money to different women between 2006 and 2022.

One of wrestling’s biggest ever names Triple H has been named as Head of Creative in the company shake-up.

McMahon announced his retirement last week with a post on Twitter but he made no reference to the recent scandals.

He said: “At 77, time for me to retire. Thank you, WWE universe. Then. Now. Forever. Together.”

White, however, has thrown some support McMahon’s way despite the scandal.

Speaking at a press conference, the 53-year-old said: “I got stories about Vince for days.

“He’s a killer. He’s buried that hatchet in my back a few times, but that’s what you’re dealing with. You don’t deal with a killer and not expect them to try to kill you. Yeah, I have nothing but respect for Vince.”

The UFC boss is preparing for the latest instalment of MMA action which occurs tonight at UFC 277 in Texas.

The highlight on the main card of the event is Julianna Pena and
