Vince McMahon officially retires from WWE
Vince McMahon, aged 77, has officially retired from WWE.
McMahon took to Twitter today to announce that he is stepping away from his duties in WWE.
In his statement, which you can see below, Vince said that the time had come for him to retire.
He then thanked the fans before signing off with WWE’s signature ‘Then, Now, Forever, Together’ catchphrase.

Vince is currently being investigated by the WWE Board after accusations of sexual misconduct were levied against him.
During that time, McMahon had temporarily stepped back from his role as WWE CEO and Chairman.
However, Vince remained in control of WWE’s creative team during the investigation.
WWE confirmed the news in a statement on their official website, with Vince’s successors being named too.
His daughter, Stephanie McMahon, will become the Chairwoman of WWE. She will also serve as the co-CEO.
She will share that role with Nick Khan, who was previously the President of WWE.
Vince elaborated on his tweet in the statement, explaining why he made the decision to step away from WWE at this time.
