Ex-WWE star shares openess to shock return now Vince McMahon has retired

Maria Kanellis has said that she’d now be open to returning to WWE following Vince McMahon’s shock retirement last week.

Maria and her husband Mike were released by WWE in April of 2020, being two of the first releases brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since then, the pair have spoken quite openly about their displeasure about how they were treated by the company, which was headed up by Vince McMahon at the time.

However, Vince has retired from WWE, begging the question of which ex-WWE stars could now be open to shock returns.

A fan asked Maria on Twitter whether or not she and Mike could consider making returns now that they’d be working under Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Maria seemed more open to the return than she has been previously, explaining how she’s always had a good relationship with Triple H.

As you can see below, Maria also explained that her husband Mike enjoyed working for ‘The Game’ during his brief run in NXT, suggesting he’d also be open to working for WWE again.

It’s worth noting that Maria did say that the timing would have to be right for her to make a return, but it’s interesting to note that she now seems more open than she was previously.

This is nothing but good news for WWE, with Maria seemingly not being the only ex-WWE star that’s open to returning under the new leadership.
