Victor Osimhen to Man United transfer 'agreement' as £86m price tag for striker revealed

Victor Osimhen is becoming increasingly linked with a move to Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window opening.

The centre-forward is due back at Napoli once this season ends after spending it on loan with Galatasaray. However, a permanent departure appears inevitable after failing to secure one last year.

Moves to Al-Ittihad and Chelsea did not materialise, hence the Nigeria international has spent the current campaign in Turkey despite only turning 26 in late December. United are now one of several Premier League clubs, alongside Arsenal and the Blues again, credited with an interest in signing Osimhen this summer.

However, on Friday night, Turkish journalist Serdar Ali Celikler claimed on NEO Spor that the striker has reached an agreement with United, but not between the clubs. Then, a day later, Africafoot reported the same, stating that a member of the player's entourage revealed an agreement is already signed.

MEN Sport: The latter publication claims the estimated transfer fee could be as low as £26million, which appears ludicrously cheap, regardless of Osimhen approaching the final year of his contract. If that estimate is accurate, then United should be all over a deal, but, presumably, so would almost every other club able to afford such a fee.

Eintracht Frankfurt reportedly want over triple that amount for Hugo Ekitike this summer after raising their price tag for the striker, per Sky Sport in Germany. Their sporting director, Markus Krosche, now reputedly demands £86million, up from a previous £69million valuation amid their preparations for the player's departure, which is still said to be likely.
