Victor Lindelof passes verdict on new Manchester United teammate Tyrell Malacia

Victor Lindelof has been left impressed by new Manchester United teammate Tyrell Malacia in training.

United made Malacia the first signing of Erik ten Hag's reign at the start of July when they agreed a £12.9million deal with Feyenoord for his signature. The Dutch left-back has put pen to paper on a four-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months, and wears the No.12 at Old Trafford.

Malacia has made two appearances off the bench during United's pre-season tour so far but has certainly been impressing his new colleagues in training, with fellow defender Lindelof saying he is 'looking really, really good.'

“I’ve talked to him a little bit, and he seems like a great guy," the Swede told MUTV. "And I think he’s going to fit right in with the squad with all of the guys.

“I’m looking forward to training with him more and working with him, but he is looking really, really good.”

It's been a promising start to life under Ten Hag for United as they kicked off their pre-season tour with back-to-back wins over Liverpool and Melbourne Victory. Lindelof is enjoying working with the new manager.

“It was great to have some time off over the summer and of course when I came back I felt fresh and ready and yeah it’s been feeling good,” he added.

“Training has been very good. I think we have stepped up a lot and it’s hard, like it should be in pre-season. And he demands a lot and I think it’s been absolutely great, so yeah, a pleasure.

“Everyone is looking forward to the new season and we are doing everything we can to prepare the best we can for that game and for the rest of the season.”
