'Very soon' - Gareth Southgate theory emerges after Man United decision on Erik ten Hag
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince has tipped Gareth Southgate to leave England after Euro 2024 and return to club football in the near future.
Southgate, who retired from professional football in 2006 having made more than 500 league appearances, started his senior management career at Middlesbrough. He spent over three years in charge of the Teesside club before being controversially dismissed with Boro fourth in the Championship.

The 53-year-old enjoyed a successful period in charge of the young Lions before being handed the senior job after Sam Allardyce resigned.

There is uncertainty about his future after the tournament with his contract set to run out in December. He had been linked with the United job before it was confirmed that Erik ten Hag was staying put at Old Trafford, though Southgate's name could be mentioned again if Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos change their mind.
