Vegan family send threatening note to neighbours after barbecue

A vegan family have sent a second threatening letter to their neighbour after an initial one was ignored, following a dispute over the smell of barbecued meat.

The disagreement has caused much debate online with some believing it is a "reasonable" request, while others have suggested that the family go ahead with another barbecue in protest, arguing that no one should dictate what happens in your garden. After their initial pleas were disregarded by their carnivorous neighbours, the vegans felt compelled to post a "last warning".

In the first note, written and signed by 'Sarah, Wayne and kids', they requested: "Hello neighbour, could you please shut your side window when cooking please? My family are vegan (we eat only plant-based foods) and the smell of the meat you cook makes us feel sick and upset. We would appreciate your understanding."

Unfortunately, their request fell on deaf ears. In the subsequent letter, there was an apparent shift in tone from the aggrieved family.

They accused their neighbour of 'taking the mickey' and being 'downright rude'. The author also claimed their neighbour intentionally sought to cause distress, stating: "I raised my concerns of the smell of meat making my family feel sick and upset and you go and have a barbecue on Saturday night inviting lots of people, and you knew this would affect me and my family.", reports the Mirror.

The family was shocked to discover that their letter had been circulated online. "My friend Tina told me you took my letter to social media and it backfired on you which is 'just desserts'."
