Manchester United will prioritise the addition of a centre-back this summer, but they could easily end up needing to sign two instead.
Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite is of interest to the club, while they are also being linked with moves for Benfica starlet António Silva, Sporting Lisbon star Gonçalo Inácio and Juventus ace Gleison Bremer.
At the age of 26, Bremer is the oldest of the quartet, while the other three are all still under the age of 23. The club is keen to add younger defenders to their squad this summer with the addition of players who would hopefully give them many years of top-class service.

It's a very complicated and fluid situation, though. United not only want another centre-back this summer, they will also look to add a full-back, a central midfielder and another attacker.
Therefore, money will be rather tight, with player sales set to play a huge role in boosting their transfer budget and having a direct impact on just how many new players they can sign.
United are planning for a squad exodus to break double figures in the summer transfer window and intend to be more proactive in the seller's market amid the Premier League's profitability and sustainability rules.
It means United will have to initially target just a single centre-back addition, regardless of what their budget is, with another signing depending on how many players they manage to move on.
Raphael Varane is expected to be sold if an appropriate offer arrives for him this summer, while one of Harry Maguire or Victor Lindelof could also be sold to increase the transfer budget if the club is confident of
