Valentine's Day power cut leaves hundreds of Greater Manchester homes without electricity

Hundreds of homes in Greater Manchester are without electricity tonight (Friday, February 14) due to a power cut. The outage has hit more than 340 properties in the Little Hulton area.

The power outage was first reported at around 7.50pm. Electricity North West currently estimates the power will be restored to all homes by around 10.50pm.

The power cut is due to an issue on the high voltage network. Engineers are on their way to the scene

A spokesperson said: "We are aware of a power cut in the Little Hulton area M28 postcode with 344 properties affected. We have engineers on the way to investigate the issue."
