Valencia 'set fee' for midfielder Javi Guerra and other Manchester United transfer rumours

Manchester United are heading up the queue for Valencia midifelder Javi Guerra, according to reports.

The 20-year-old midfielder has earned rave reviews since breaking into their first-team. Guerra had played 16 games in all competitions this season, scoring three goals with one assist.

His contract at the Mestalla Stadium runs until 2027, but there are claimed to be several top clubs interested. Spanish outlet Marca state United are chief among them with a €40million fee mooted to be required to sign him.

Italian club Juventus are also thought to be in the race to lure Guerra with a view to making an offer for him next summer and his current side are understood to need the cash to ease their financial woes.

Elsewhere, reports suggest Barcelona want to sign Mason Greenwood during the January transfer window.

Speculation over the Manchester United player remains at a fever pitch after he joined Getafe on loan during the summer transfer window. Greenwood headed to Spain after it was concluded he should continue his career away from Old Trafford.

The 22-year-old footballer was, initially, suspended by United in January 2022 after facing allegations of attempted rape, assault and coercive control. The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed that charges against Greenwood were dropped in February 2023 and the Bradford-born forward has always denied the allegations.

Greenwood has made 15 appearances for Getafe this season, scoring five goals with four assists. However, with an eye on the January transfer window, there could be another Spanish club in the market for him.
