'Used to be the quietest kid in the team' - BBC man loves footage of 'incredible' Celtic ace

BBC 5 Live radio presenter Dominik Diamond has praised Celtic captain Callum McGregor after comments he made following the Bhoys’ Old Firm derby victory.

The Glasgow outfit picked up a crucial 2-1 victory at Ibrox on Sunday as they continue their quest to regain the league title. Goals from Tom Rogic and Cameron Carter-Vickers helped Ange Postecoglou’s side come from behind after Aaron Ramsey had given the hosts the lead, and Celtic now sit six points clear at the top of the table with as many games left to play.

Captain McGregor played the 90 minutes, and spoke to the club’s media after the match. He praised the team’s fight and commitment, which led to Diamond lauding his behaviour on and off the pitch. The radio host wrote on Twitter: “This guy used to be the quietest kid in the team. The way he has grown in confidence and eloquence on and off the pitch in less than a year is incredible. What a captain!”
