USA shock Blitzboks to end magnificent winning streak
The Blitzboks suffered a 12-7 loss in their Pool A encounter against the USA to end a magnificent 36-match winning streak.
It's a result that sees the USA top the group, meaning the Springbok Sevens will face Fiji in the Cup quarter-finals on Sunday.
The Blitzboks found themselves in a spot of bother after being down 7-0 at half time after a converted David Still try. They were able to pull one back after the restart via Ryan Oosthuizen, leaving the half in a precarious position.
Perry Baker of the USA had the last word, scoring a last-gasp try to see the Americans over for victory.
The game against Fiji gets underway at 06:50.
