Update emerges over Bradley Dack’s Blackburn Rovers return

Blackburn Rovers boss Tony Mowbray has told the Lancashire Telegraph that Bradley Dack is around two to three weeks away from making a return to first team action.

The attacking midfielder has suffered his fair share of setbacks over the past few years having suffered not one but two serious anterior cruciate ligament injuries.

He has since started building up his match fitness for the club’s under-23s after returning to playing and could soon be making his way into the first team squad providing that he can prove that he is ready to be involved at Sky Bet Championship level again.

Now Mowbray has offered the following update over the player’s progress as he put a timescale on his likely return:

“Hopefully in the next two or three weeks you’ll see his name back on the first-team sheet.”

Prior to sustaining his respective injuries, Dack had established himself as a first team regualr and was seen as a key component of the starting eleven due to his goals and all round creativity.

The challenge for him now will be to get back to the heights he hit before the setbacks occurred.

The Verdict

It will be a big boost to the first team and the club as a whole when Dack finally makes his return to first team action, as the midfielder has worked so hard to get to this stage.

As the saying goes, form is temporary and class is permanent, so therefore we could see some more magic from the former Gillingham man at Ewood Park before the season is out.

It will however take time for him to get back to full fitness, so some level of patience will be required from all those that are expecting miracles from him.

However overall this is a massive step forwards and he could prove to be a secret weapon for his side during the run in.
