'Uncertainty' - Birmingham City takeover claims prompt clear demand from fans

Birmingham City fans have been responding to the latest updates regarding the sale of the football club.

Daily Mirror journalist James Nursey claims that former Barcelona and Argentina player Maxi Lopez and Blues fan Paul Richardson are "still interested" in buying the club as another potential buyer Donald Muir has ruled himself out. The former Rangers director is "no longer" interested in buying the club from Birmingham Sports Holdings Ltd (BSHL) as the takeover saga rumbles on.

The news comes as fresh claims about Lopez's stance on running the club has emerged. It is claimed by Nursey that the consortium including Lopez and Richardson want to "manage" the club for two years before buying it outright if things run smoothly during that period.

"The Maxi Lopez group definitely still keen on Blues on basis of 2 year deal to manage club then buy if successful," Nursey wrote. But Blues fans on social media aren't satisfied with the update. Here's what they have been saying on Twitter...

No desire from me to see the Lopez/Richardson consortium gain traction.

Nah, not good enough.

That just sounds ridiculous run it for two years and if it runs smoothly they will buy it.

Just more uncertainty, it would have to be a proper buy out for me to go back down next season.

A try before you buy? Not a fan of this deal at all #BCFC

No thank you. I don’t want ‘loan owners’ I want a complete change.
