UFC Vegas 60: Fighter dropped on his head & breaks canvas

Anthony Hernandez showed his dominance last night during UFC Vegas 60, putting his opponent, Marc-Andre Barriault to sleep in what was the opening fight of the main card.

The fight only lasted three rounds in the Octagon as Hernandez was victorious thanks to a head and arm choke which left Barriault answerless.

Hernandez just keeps getting better and better with each performance, with it only a matter of time before he becomes a major name in the sport if he carries on with this momentum.

After the fight, Hernandez was interviewed, saying: “It’s a fight, you know how it goes, I’ll willing to die in this b***h. I always want to finish. I’m just going to keep doing what I f*****g do.

“I don’t really follow UFC, I just show up and fight. I think I’m the best in the world, I’m here to prove it one fight at a time.”

He did appear to have the upper hand for large parts of the contest, although Barriault was impressive in his defence and counter to his grappling game.

It was a relentless onslaught from Hernandez in the main, with a moment of pure chaos just before he choked his opponent out.

He pulled his opponent away from the cage, elevating him in the air, with Barriault obviously tying his best to wriggle free.

However, this worked against him as he ended up vertical, head to the canvas, with Hernandez spiking him into the ground before going on to victory.

Barriault hit the canvas that hard that he actually broke the floor. It’s not a case of hyperbole, he actually damaged the canvas, visibly so too.

It’s safe to say that the Canadian will wake up with a headache this morning after his defeat to say the least! Fighting in the UFC really is a tough task.
