Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk: Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez makes his prediction

Following his recent win over Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia, many boxing fans are calling for Oleksandr Usyk to fight Tyson Fury.

A possible fight between the pair could go down as one of the biggest fights in the history of the sport.

Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, has recently stated that a fight between both Fury and Usyk is “boxing’s World Cup.”

It’s fair to say that many fellow athletes are excited by the thought of the heavyweight pair squaring off.

One of those excited is one of the pound-for-pound greats Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez. The undisputed super middleweight champion has had his say already on how a potential fight will go down.

Speaking to Behind The Gloves, the Mexican said: “Usyk is a really good fighter. I saw him a long time ago, he’s a great fighter with a lot of skills, but I think Fury has everything. Weight, boxing skills, I think it’s going to be difficult for Usyk.”

“The Gypsy King” announced his retirement from the sport of boxing following his win over Dillian Whyte at Wembley back in April.

Now, however, Fury looks set to make a U-turn on his announcement and make a highly-anticipated return to the ring. However, the Englishman is seeking a big pay day in order to step in between the ropes with the Ukrainian.

“It’s the biggest fight in the world so it needs to be the biggest pay day in the world,” he said on talkSPORT. “[Floyd] Mayweather got £400million to fight [Manny] Pacquiao, I want £500m!

“It’s some foreigner who nobody really cares about. To fight this unknown entity and give him an opportunity of legendary status? They have to pay for that.
