Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte latest: Date, tickets, press conference and odds

The countdown is on for Tyson Fury's WBC heavyweight title defence against Dillian Whyte, which is finally confirmed after the latter penned his contract this week.

The WBC had mandated Fury to defend his title against his fellow Brit but there was a significant delay with developments, with purse bids delayed on four occasions and Whyte waiting until the final hours before a deadline to submit his contract with the governing body.

Now though, the path ahead to the fight has been cleared and fans are eagerly anticipating Fury's first bout in the UK in almost four years.

The fight is also the final hurdle before a likely unification bout against Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua.

Here's all the latest regarding Fury's fight with Whyte.

Fury has confirmed his fight date against Whyte, with the countdown until April 23rd now underway.

Wembley Stadium in London is set to play host to the event, although there is yet to be official confirmation regarding the venue.

That is expected in due course, with fans also eagerly anticipating ticket details for what is set to be one of the biggest sporting events of the year.

Prior to the start of his self-inflicted social media blackout, Tyson Fury mocked Dillian Whyte's reported mind games following confirmation of the bout.

"Oh my God, Dillian Whyte signed his contract for eight million dollars. What a surprise!" He sarcastically stated in an Instagram story.

"Oh my God, my head hurts from all the mind games that Dillian Whyte has been playing on me, oh my God, I'm so sore, I don't know whether I'm coming or going, my training camp is a mess.
