Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte: Eddie Hearn backs upset win for challenger

Eddie Hearn has boldly predicted that Dillian Whyte will knock Tyson Fury out when the two meet at Wembley Stadium next month.

In what is bound to be one of the biggest boxing events of the year, Dillian Whyte will challenge Tyson Fury on April 23 with the WBC and The Ring heavyweight titles being on the line. Fury, who is unbeaten at 31-0-1, is the clear favourite in the eyes of the masses and will also be defending his status as ‘lineal’ heavyweight champion against Whyte (28-2) who most recently beat Alexander Povetkin via TKO to win the WBC interim strap.

A capacity crowd is expected to descend upon the home of English football with the victor being tipped to meet Oleksandr Usyk, if he’s available, later this year.

When discussing the bout during a Twitter Q&A for DAZN, Hearn made it known that he was backing his man to get the job done in the eleventh round.

“He [Whyte] won’t be KO’d,” Hearn said.

“Fury in my opinion doesn’t carry the power to take Dillian Whyte out.

“I believe actually when they trade left hooks Tyson Fury will go to sleep and he will go to sleep in round 11.”
