Tyson Fury gave Erik ten Hag and Manchester United two instructions before Liverpool win

Tyson Fury urged Erik ten Hag to ensure his Manchester United players attack Liverpool ahead of their dramatic FA Cup victory over Liverpool.

Fury, who is preparing for his unifying world heavyweight title bout with Oleksandr Usyk in May, was in attendance at Old Trafford to cheer on the Reds against Jurgen Klopp's men. United entered the clash as underdogs, but ended up coming out on top after twice coming from behind at Old Trafford.

In an incident-packed encounter, it was substitute Amad Diallo who sent Erik ten Hag's side to Wembley with a strike in the dying seconds of extra-time. Scott McTominay, Antony, Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah were all on target during the 90 minutes.

And in a pre-match interview with ITV Sport, Fury told United to play without fear, like he has done during his career in the ring. "Just go out there and attack; put pressure on them," he told touchline reporter Gabriel Clarke.

"Put your best foot forward and get stuck right in, because that usually works. It has worked for me anyway, 35 times in a row, so, yes, that is a good tactic."

While Fury was speaking predominantly about the match this afternoon, it would serve Ten Hag's men well to adapt this advice to the remainder of their campaign. United's only opportunity to win silverware this season is in the FA Cup, but the battle is still on for the top four.
