Tyrone Mings details 'relentless' Aston Villa work behind the scenes at charity event

Tyrone Mings participated in a charitable event last night as he sat down to answer several questions with the proceeds going to support the Aston Villa Foundation.

Mings commented on a variety of topics, including the environment at the club both on and off the pitch, the ambitions moving forward and his immediate reaction when he arrived at Villa in January 2019.

The Q&A was streamed live on Villa TV and a portion of fans also attended the event in person.

Mings said: "I don't know why but as soon as I walked in (Villa) just felt natural and it felt like a good fit. My goal now, of course it was to get promoted, and then when we got promoted it was to stay in the league. Now we're a mid-table, kind of comfortable mid-table team, that doesn't mean we are settled where we are.

"We have to go through these stages to get to where we want to get to and ultimately that is winning trophies, ultimately that is competing in Europe.

"We've got a fantastic infrastructure here in terms of the owners, the CEO [chief executive officer], the management, the players and of course you fans. Everything is going in the right direction, everything is setup for us to go and achieve that and I think the players are buying into that as well.

"It's relentless at Bodymoor, it is relentless in terms of us getting better and we work hard on the training pitch. Like I said we're working harder off the pitch to try and get to know each other better, to try and have more experiences off the pitch with each other. So that in and around the training ground you're not just a teammate, you're a friend.
