'Biggest miracle' - Gary Lineker delivers Leicester City verdict after Man United moment

Leicester City legend Gary Lineker has been reliving the "impossible" and "magical" 2015/16 season when ranking the best ever Premier League comeback.

Alongside Alan Shearer and Micah Richards, the trio were tasked with deciding upon the top comeback in the competition's history for the Match of the Day Top 10 podcast. City featured three times on the shortlist, including the 5-3 against Manchester United in September 2014 at the King Power Stadium.

The other two were rather more forgettable matches. Wolverhampton Wanderers ' come back from 3-0 down to win 4-3 at Molineux in October 2003 and Newcastle United reversing a 3-1 deficit to win at St James' Park in February 1997 also feature. Despite not strictly fitting the criteria of a single match, talk inevitably turned to the title-winning season.

After discussing the Man United match, Lineker elaborated on the context of that season's relegation battle and what was to follow the next campaign.

Richards then asked whether the former Foxes striker thinks that such a feat, which is later described as the "best moment of Premier League history" by the former Manchester City defender, will ever happen again. Lineker simply replied, "no," before continuing.

"I think it's the biggest miracle," Lineker added. "I think it's the biggest sporting team miracle of all time.

"Leicester didn’t buy the league, and that’s what makes it all the more extraordinary. And it was a miracle. It was impossible.
