Wolves player ratings vs Aston Villa: Joao Moutinho stars and Fabio Silva takes his chance

Wolverhampton Wanderers reigned supreme as kings of the Midlands by beating Aston Villa 2-1 at Molineux.

The Ivory Coast international barely got out of first gear on a day where Wolves completely outclassed their West Midlands neighbours. When he’s on top form Boly is a guaranteed starter for Wolves, and he seems to be returning to his 2020 levels after form and fitness issues.

Coady dictated so much of Wolves’ play in the first half with precise passing and perfect positional play. He’s spent the last two weeks training with Watkins and he was well equipped to deal with everything the Villa striker threw at him.
